The function of the Portfolio Strategy Manager is two-fold: 1) The Portfolio Strategy Manager will manage the development and execution of the VGGP strategic plan and profit plan budgets & project portfolios. Consolidating the portfolio waterline analysis from each Product line and working with the business unit and engineering directors to translate it into consolidated VGGP strategic plan and profit plan budgets. Tracking the execution on a monthly basis, consolidating budget actuals & forecasts and providing reports on results and recommendations to the VGGP leadership in areas where budgets can be flexed to keep the total budget aligned to plan is also a key responsibility in this role. The Portfolio Manager must also ensure appropriate systems and processes are in place to support availability, analysis, integrity and accuracy of portfolio & budget system information. 2) The Portfolio Strategy Manager will support the development of the strategic plan, working closely with the VGGP leadership team in coordinating planning activities and helping to develop and consolidate the content of the strategic plan presentations. Overall these activities will involve interfacing and collaboration with the PL leadership, HR, Finance, Engineering & other activity center managers, customers & suppliers. The role will require the individual to work both independently and as part of a VGGP and will be expected to provide suggestions and recommendations for process improvements and new projects based upon market knowledge and the strategic direction of the VGGP product lines. The role will require access to confidential and sensitive information requiring a high degree of integrity In this function you will: Lead budget data collection/coordination for Profit Plan and Monthly Forecast. Consolidate all inputs and project waterline analysis from VGGP product lines. Coordinate with teams to ensure spending is in line with forecast commitments. Prepare standard slide decks of information as required. Present results to VGGP staff Work closely with finance & engineering, lead the global consolidated monthly tracking of budget actuals and forecast and reports out to VGGP leadership with recommendations prior to VGGP rolling forecast review Support strategic plan by coordinating planning activities, working closely with business unit and engineering directors, product strategy managers and finance team providing input on strategies and preparing/consolidating the presentation content; Support product line controller during strategic plan and profit planning process in developing sales targets and analysing the revenue portfolio of the business. Critically assess portfolio and finance processes and drive digital innovation to improve effectiveness and productivity. Coordinate with End-Users and the IT team to map gaps and implement solutions; Ensure monthly status updates to key VGGP goals and metrics are completed timely. Provide a monthly report on VGGP budget status Provide support to project advocates to ensure ProPM inputs are complete and able to be managed by product line portfolio managers Assemble and furnish reports on relevant data for special projects and strategic studies. e.g. financials, NBV, intellectual property, make versus buy Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution Minimum seven (7) years of engineering, sales or finance experience No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Must be authorized to work in country where candidate resides without company sponsorship now or in the future Preferred qualifications: Ability to communicate, present, negotiate and influence at all levels in the organization Strong analytical skills including the ability to use spreadsheets and other data analysis tools Business process improvement and change management experience Proficient in MSOffice including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint Position Criteria: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to the team.
