Post-Doctoral Research Scientist / Food Scientist

The candidate will be responsible for R&D and pilot production of natural products in a food-grade production facility

Key responsibilities:

• Plant extract fractionation,
• Bioactive compound identification,
• Optimization of extract preparation
• Develop new methods for natural products characterization for bioactivity and safety assessment.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements:

• PhD Degree in food science, natural products chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, analytical chemistry or related fields
• Ability to multi-task and handle shifting priorities
• Aggressive and committed to career in food biotechnology
• Candidate must be able to work independently
• Excellent leadership, analytical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Good command of English and Chinese (proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage)
• Knowledge of regulations e.g. ISO 22000 and industry practise relevant to the food, dietary supplement and nutraceutical is not required but it will be considered an advantage.

Those with experiences in functional food, development of ELISA assay, cell culture, animal studies and experience in HPLC and LC-MS will have an advantage.
