A Post-doctoral Fellow position in Urban Climate Modeling is available in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The appointee will mainly focus on the influence of building infrastructure on the dynamics of coupled heat and moisture transport in the urban atmospheric boundary layer (ABL).  He/She will also address other open questions related to extreme weather and urban planning.  The work will rely on a combination of large eddy simulations and WRF modeling; experience with one or both is thus advantageous.  The research will be supervised by Professor Jiachuan Yang, questions about the scope of the work can be addressed to Professor Jiachuan Yang (cejcyang@ust.hk).

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences or engineering. Excellent written English and oral communication skills are required. (Duration: 18 months, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
