A Post-doctoral Fellow position in Water Quality Modelling with special focus on nutrients (N, P) loading, chlorophyll, and blue-green algae for eutrophication assessment is available in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The appointee will be co-supervised by Professor Irene M C Lo and Professor Jiachuan Yang. 

Applicants should be PhD holders and have demonstrated strong research background in (1) water quality modelling for surface water, e.g. river, reservoir, lake; (2) statistical analysis skills using Matlab/Python/R; and (3) field work experience related to water quality sampling. Experience with various computational and simulation models, such as Estuary and Lake Computer Model (ELCOM), Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code (EFDC), is highly preferred.  The ideal candidate is also expected to have proficient communication skills in both written and spoken English. (Duration: 1 year, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
