The Embodied AI Lab is searching for a motivated full-time researcher with a proven track record. We work on many interesting projects spanning the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, computer graphics, natural language processing and robotics. Our goal is to develop intelligent systems that understand and perceive the world around them in order to act in it and interact with it. In this position, you will be responsible for conceiving, researching, and prototyping new ideas related to the embodied AI pipeline - from fundamental algorithmic advancements to building complete systems. You will use your strong knowledge of mathematical and algorithmic techniques and expertise in software and/or hardware development to identify and develop new methods in one or several areas including: computer vision, computer graphics, machine learning, sim-to-real transfer, natural language processing, video understanding. This requires a comprehensive understanding of the state-of-the-art and extensive prior research experience. You must also possess strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment. You are expected to maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories, and to contribute regularly to scientific literature and the research community at large. We are especially looking for candidates with a strong track record in the computer vision and graphics communities

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your work experience, graduate school, post-doc research and/or relevant internship experiences.
Required qualifications:
PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or similar technical discipline
Strong software engineering background
At least 5 publications in first-tier, highly selective international conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGGRAPH.
Minimum of 5 years of research experience in one or more of the following areas:
computer vision
image processing
computer graphics
video understanding
natural language processing
machine learning
optimization
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with style-transfer, GANs, etc.
Experience with photo-realistic simulators, game engines
Strong mathematical background
Strong software and hardware engineering experience demonstrated through publicly available projects
10+ publications in first-tier, highly selective international conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGGRAPH, RSS, CoRL, ICRA.
5+ years of experience in Python and NumPy
5+ years of experience in C/C++ programming
Experience with deep learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
Experience in collaborative software development with Git
A proven track record of successful projects in robotics (open source contributions, competitions, hobby projects)

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
