A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available for studying genetic, metabolic and epigenetic mechanims leading to alterations in iron homeostasis, inflammation and anti-oxidative pathways during diabetic retinopathy, and characterization of novel preventive/therapeutic targets for neuronal cell loss and vascular changes in diabetic retinopathy. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant field. Experience in murine models, confocal imaging, cell culture, protein biochemistry of cell signaling and basic molecular biology techniques like Real time PCR, western blot, ELISA, cell based assays and flow cytometry are preferred.
