Job Description
We invite applications for a postdoctoral fellowship from FAPESP until April 2021 (about 16 months). The monthly income is R$ 7.373,10 (US$ 1,830.00) � tax-free. This fellowship is associated with the ENDORSE project (Enhancing Diversity to Overcome Resistance Evolution) funded by the Newton Fund, BBSRC, and FAPESP. Prof. Ricardo A Polanczyk is responsible for the project in Brazil in collaboration with UK Principal Investigator Luc Bussière (University of Stirling). Our project studies how diversifying agricultural landscapes and fungal entomopathogens used as pesticides might sustainably prevent resistance evolution.

This Post-Doctoral Fellowship is open to applicants having obtained a doctorate no more than seven years ago. Prospective candidates must have a doctorate in Entomology or a related field; experience with research on biological control and/or microbial pest control and pest resistance is desirable. Activities will be based within the Plant Protection Department, FCAV-UNESP, Jaboticabal, São Paulo state (Brazil), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Polanczyk, but will also include active collaborations with UK researchers, and feature a secondment to the University of Stirling under the supervision of Dr. Bussière.
