Job Title: Poultry Scientist - CAN

Report to: Head of Poultry Science

Business Unit: DNP

Location: Bazhou

The Challenge:

To lead research activities in the field of poultry nutrition and health aiming at the identification, development, and support of feed additives; scientific support for innovation projects, marketing support with special focus to China and other research activities as required; documentation and presentation of research activities and results internally (e.g. in project teams) and externally at scientific congresses and customer events; preparation of scientific publications, support for customer visits or events, support of scientific network and contributions to patents and registration dossiers. To co-operate with the colleagues in the Research Center ANH in France and networking scientists and Innovation Project Managers globally.

The Position:

• Planning, performing, interpretation and documentation of scientific experiments mainly in the field of poultry nutrition
• Actively participate in global new product development project teams, and contribute to the alignment of new solutions with the needs of poultry producers
• Organize and participate at manipulations and sample collections in the animal house as required by the established trial protocols
• Scientific participation in innovation projects, marketing and customer support activities with focus to China and as needed also globally
• Literature overview in the area of research interest, active participation in scientific congresses and preparation of scientific publications
• Active support of customer visits or customer events or other events within the Center or outside; scientific support of marketing colleagues as required
• Support of patent filing and regulatory dossiers; support of scientific networking
• Scientist in the poultry team and responsible for the research activities with poultry
• Supervise external trials performed at Universities or research institutes as required
• Close co-operation with all groups and services in CAN to optimize shared use of the available services and capacities
• Participation in idea generation and idea evaluation
• Ensure that work in all areas is performed in compliance with legal and internal requirements and standards for SHE & Security as well as quality
  

The Ideal:

• PhD in animal nutrition preferable in the field of poultry nutrition, gut health, or equivalent
• Experience in performing animal experiments including all involved aspects
• Study abroad or experience in poultry nutrition in USA or EU would be advantage
• Know-how in statistical analysis and interpretation of experimental data
• Fluent in speaking and writing English
• 1 - 2 years of professional experience (optional)
• Office IT knowledge; knowledge of statistical software
