The Software and Advanced Technology Group (SATG) is seeking a talented software student to join a unique, super professional, small team.

We optimize Intel's CPU power consumption and performance through innovative SW/HW algorithms. We study and analyze the power and performance characteristics of applications and benchmarks, then apply these learnings to improve the Intel CPU and its firmware for better power consumption and performance. We interact closely with the operating system, CPU architects and firmware teams.

In this job, you will learn the power/performance tradeoffs while executing SW on Intel’s CPUs. You will measure and analyze the power and performance of SW on silicon and on simulation tools. You will provide your analysis feedback for improving our power/performance algorithms. You will develop SW that emulates power/performance features. You will help Intel improve the performance and power consumption of future CPUs.

Qualifications

• Excellent BSc or MSc student for CS or CE. EE with SW background will be considered too
• Knowledge in scripting languages and C/C++
• Background in Operating systems and multithreading
• Motivation to learn new technologies
