Objective of job
Ensure that our localized MB vehicles in China fulfill the Mercedes-Benz standards & CN specific requirements regarding overall vehicle powertrain (BEV/ICE) functions. Enhance connection between integration powertrain team and related German counterparts.
Task Description
1 Development and adjustment Powertrain functional testing to China specific conditions and requirements
• Develop powertrain functional testing procedures to meet major use cases in China in order to evaluate and approve function in China
• Distinguish most customer related parameters based on understanding of China market and alignment with component/system engineers in RD in order to design tailored test cases.
2 Plan and conduct Powertrain testing in China
• Plan/lead/participant powertrain testing in PG/public road with overall vehicle and give function release according to project plan
• Prepare all HW & SW for testing, e.g. vehicle, parts and measurement tools
• Testing status reporting in different meetings
3 Issue finding, tracking and documentation
• Measure/pre-analysis of all happened issues during testing with Vector/ETAS or the other tools
• Documente properly issue findings in systems accordingly
• Support responsible engineer to reproduce issue and further analysis; issue validation organization with countermeaures
• Issues status updating in system/reporting meetings to close it before RD & Q release
4 Build-up strong connection between CN & German HQ
• MB standard test case (VAW) understanding/alignment with German counterparts;
• Discussion/alignment of CN specific testing senarios with HQ, and integrated into MB testing process
• Enhance communication channel between CN & German HQ
• Build-up process of integration/testing, and align with both sides
