Job Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Implementation: Plan, prepare, and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities aligned with the school‘s early childhood curriculum framework, fostering holistic development across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains for children aged 3–5 years.
2. Classroom Management: Serve as the lead teacher in the classroom, establishing a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where children feel secure, respected, and motivated to explore and learn.
3. Student Observation and Assessment: Conduct ongoing observations and authentic assessments of children’s development and learning progress; maintain detailed records, portfolios, and progress reports to document student growth and inform instructional planning.
4. Individualized Support: Identify and respond to individual learning needs, abilities, and interests; provide differentiated instruction and additional support to children requiring extra assistance, including those with language barriers or developmental variations.
5. Health, Safety, and Well-being: Supervise children during all activities, including free play, snack and meal times, nap time, and outdoor play; maintain constant vigilance to ensure the physical and emotional safety of all children; perform essential physical tasks such as bending, lifting children, kneeling, and engaging in active movement (jumping, dancing) during activities.
6. Parent Communication: Establish and maintain open, timely, positive, and respectful communication with parents regarding children‘s daily experiences, developmental progress, and any concerns; participate in parent-teacher conferences and other family engagement events.
7. Professional Collaboration: Attend and actively participate in weekly planning meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide events; collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity and coherence across the early years program.
8. Classroom Environment: Prepare and maintain an organized, print-rich, and resource-rich classroom environment that supports exploration, discovery, and independent learning; regularly update learning centers and instructional materials.

Required Qualifications

1. Nationality: Native English speaker from a country where English is the primary official language.
2. Education: Bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited institution. Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in Early Childhood Education, Preschool Education, Education, Child Development, or a related field.
3. Teaching Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of full-time teaching experience in early childhood education or Pre-K/Kindergarten settings. Candidates who hold a bachelor‘s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field may be exempt from the work experience requirement in accordance with Chinese work permit regulations. Candidates holding an internationally recognized teaching certificate (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, PGCE, QTS, or a home country teaching license) are strongly preferred.
4. Legal Compliance: Must meet all eligibility requirements for a Chinese work permit and residence permit for foreign teachers, including holding a bachelor’s degree or above and possessing the requisite teaching experience.
