Pre-Order EMEA Quotation Engineer - Electrical Systems & Services Reporting into the Team Leader Business Support (Commercial and Large Projects), in this role you will analyse, assess, calculate and offer complex (multi discipline) materials for inactive life cycle stage systems (modifications, extensions, spare parts) for Customer Service Units (CSU’s) and custom-made systems for, customers within the EMEA Sales Region and Country Sales Organizations (CSO’s) in consultation with the CSU’s, Technical Specialists, CSO’s and/or Business Development team and Regional Marketing Management. You will also supervise multiple quotation processes at the same time, of which lead time and financial size can vary. Eaton has four product life cycle stages that are active, reactive, inactive and obsolete. The latter two are also referred to as “aftermarket” systems. Your key deliverables: Receive and assess requests for quotations, functional and / or technical specifications, complex drawings and specifications for manufacturability (technical) and feasibility (costs and delivery time) where necessary in coordination with CSU’s, Technical Specialist, Regional Marketing Management and/or Account Managers of the CSO’s/Business Development team Collect all necessary (technical) information, calculating and issuing a suitable (project) offer, where possible using modules from existing systems, Bid Manager, calculation tool and quotations from third parties. Provide technical and commercial quotations support to CSU’s, CSO’s by offering information before and during the quotation process including input for “go/no-go” Create and present Deal Review quotation/project overview to Senior Management in order to receive quotation approval Set up and lead project team with Application engineers, Technical Estimation Team, Sales, Purchase department etc Clean hand over to Order Management process and Manufacturing Engineering systems engineers to ensure technical and commercial compliance in order stage based on agreed customer solutions Assess and analyse customer complaints, whether or not in consultation with the responsible technical and quality disciplines within the Business Unit, Order (Processing) Management and / or the relevant production plant and in consultation with Sales Management and quality management to determine the method of handling Record and process customer information in the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system Pro-actively follow up and monitors quotation status. Qualifications Are you? Educated at bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent? Coming with 3-5 years of working experience? Possessing architecture & technical knowledge regarding Low & Medium voltage product systems portfolio, industrial and distribution networks and packaged substations? Experienced in electrical and mechanical engineering and complex calculations? Possessing negotiation & analytical skills, accurate, proactive/self-starter and efficient (time vs value)? Teamwork (Accountability Self & Others) oriented, focused on ownership and adaptability? Having continuous improvement capabilities? Skilled in delivering Presentations (for Management Level & Customers)? Having basic financial / legal knowledge? Able to work within an international environment and diverse matrix organization?
