Your Role – International, Challenging and Future-Oriented! In this role you will join the high-performance Siemens Grid Simulation Software Pre-Sales Technical Consulting team in the Middle East based in Pakistan. Major job responsibilities will include: • Define the right technical solution to fit customer requirement and budget • Prepare the technical specification at pre-tender stage • Communicate with customers, external and internal stakeholders on technical and scope clarifications. Provide first level software M&S Support to key customers • Providing Grid Simulation Software technical support to customers and Sales • Work inclose coordination on technical assignments of Regional Grid Simulation leads • Lead the technical process to execution including conducting software demos, workshops, and traninings to customers • Handle the demo request from new customers with HQ on priority basis and communicate effectively to evaluate the potential and develop future business case • Delivery of on-site Software technical consulting and training services. • Integration of PSS software portfolio tools in IT/OT landscape, prepareing the technical & integration concepts with the customers • Excellent understanding of the energy distribution/transmission markets and technologies, mainly in Power System Simulation tools such as PSSE, SINCAL, ETAP, PowerFactory, SCADA,GIS, MDM, IT/OT integration, digitalization with IoT solutions and cyber security • Expand the software business with existing customers in transmission and distribution verticals including DSO, TSOs, Industrial clients, consultants and educational institutions and present new add-on modules and other PSS portfolio tools • To conduct power system studies results for Industrial, Transmission and Distribution networks involving load flow analysis, short circuit calculations, protection coordination study, dynamic stability analysis, motor startup, arc flash study, harmonic analysis etc. while benchmarking against other software in the market. • Application of power systems planning and protection principles, simulation and analysis of power system steady state and dynamic behavior for assessment of electrical networks. • Undertaking generator (including Wind Farms and PV) connection Compliance and Power Quality Studies in PSS®E, ETAP & PSS®SINCAL, DIgSILENT. • Preparing proposals and tenders including estimating skills and quantity of resources required to successfully implement projects and development of project plans. • Solid competency in report writing with proficient interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills • Excellent communication & presentation skills • Produce high quality reports documenting study findings, results and recommendations. • Undertake the Project Manager role for the studies to be delivered to customers • Have expert knowledge of high-reliability commercial/industrial battery energy storage and renewable energy systems • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently within project execution timeline with good technical quality and customer satisfaction • Familiarized with various standards, codes, regulations and practices as recommended by IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEC etc for electrical installations, low and medium voltage networks design including earthing and grounding systems, protection systems • Ensure at all times that the QA procedures, statutory, regulatory and EHS requirements are being followed. Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid! • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a renowned University. MSc in Electrical Power system will be preferred • 06-13 years of professional work experience specifically in the field of power system planning, operations, design and consultancy. • Good communication and writing skills, problem solving abilities • Hands on experience of network planning software like PSS®SINCAL, PSSE, Etap, PSS CAPE, Digsilent. Experience of working on Siemens software tools especially PSS®SINCAL and PSSE will be preferred • Flexibility to travel • Experience of working in multi-cultural organization • Analytical mind with strong planning and self-learning skills, result and target oriented What else do you need to know?
