The Opportunity

In this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for the professional and cost-effective running of the precinct's Housekeeping department, achieving high standards of cleanliness for guest rooms, public areas and BOH areas across the Accor Hotels Sydney Olympic Park portfolio of 3 hotels including ibis, Novotel and Pullman brands, ranging from economy to 5 star – a total of 545 hotel rooms.

There are a few things that will make you shine in this role – having a positive attitude and the ability to think on your feet and solve problems. You will be a strong communicator with excellent written communication, exceptional organisational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities and act with a sense of urgency, whilst remaining calm under pressure.

About You

You will be a Housekeeping professional with extensive experience in a similar role, alongside a passion for empowering, developing and motivating your team to succeed. We are seeking someone with a strong customer focus and a meticulous eye for detail to lead a newly formed team.

A driven problem solver, you will have a creative approach to overcoming sticky situations and will be well versed to plan and coordinate all housekeeping tasks and activities. Ideally, you will have comprehensive computer skills to support your administrative tasks and a strong understanding of manual handling and safe work practices.

Our Ideal Candidate’s Skills and Experience

  • 3 Years previous Executive Housekeeper experience in a 5-star hotel above 200 rooms.
  • Experience managing teams and collaborating with business stakeholders.
  • Familiar with Risk Management, WHS legislation, ISO and Sustainability Practices.
  • Able to work on numerous tasks/projects at one time, to budget and timelines.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to predict future needs.
  • Have the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and align activities to meet organizational goals.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • High degree of self-awareness with demonstrated aptitude for self-improvement.
