Engineer I/Scientist I

#1: Responsibilities: to provide pre-clinical support throughout product development

Core responsibilities:

• Design and conduct pre-clinical studies (benchtop test, tissue test and animal study) to evaluate product safety and performance: develop protocol and provide hands-on tests/operations, process data, generate and review report.
• Summarize the user experience and new findings in pre-clinical studies, analyze the probable causes and dig into root cause to provide powerful evidence supporting R&D design
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, marketing, RA, QA, etc.) to ensure all pre-clinical efforts are well aligned with project scope and strategy

• Manage CROs: scouting, set up contract, manage animal vendor qualification, and monitor external CROs(preclinical test labs), ensure preclinical studies are conducted per applicable animal welfare and quality standards.

Extended responsibilities:

• When necessary, join the team of clinical experts to provide clinical input to drive and/or facilitate product development
• Develop literature research strategy, conduct and summarize the research

#2: Minimum Requirements

• Master’s degree in Veterinarian medicine/Medical science/ Biology/ pharmacology/Bioengineering with 1-2 years of industry experience. or Ph.D. in above mentioned fields.
• Trackable clinical/biomedical or related scientific research experience with publications
• Fluent verbal and written English (communication AND medical/scientific)
• Strongly motivated with good learning attitude
• Good communication skills

#3: Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• Excellent hands-on skills and document capability
• Experience working with big animal models such as dogs, pigs, sheep, goat.
