PFEs provide technical leadership for Premier customers around the world to help ensure their IT environments are kept optimized and healthy. The focus is to do this in a proactive and consultative manner to avoid future issues.

This includes guidance on best practices, risk assessments, migrations, and onsite, remote and designated support services (DSE). As part of Services & Consulting, PFE partners with Commercial Technical Support and Enterprise Services to strengthen the Microsoft Services Field Engineering capability worldwide.

Responsibilities

PFEs provide various services to our Enterprise customers to increase systems availability, resolve issues with creative problem solving capabilities, and ultimately improve the health of our customers’ environments.

We consult with experienced technical staff to ensure they have the skills to troubleshoot and maintain their solution in line with Microsoft best practices. PFEs deliver onsite and designated services for Microsoft’s Premier customers.

Qualifications

• More than 5 years of experience in the enterprise customer arena
• Face-to-face customer engagement skills
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
• Troubleshooting knowledge & skills
• Technical writing, presentation and training skills
• MS qualification desirable
• Degree qualification or equivalent experience
• Good understanding of ITIL/Service Management

Technical Experience

• Windows Client - Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows Server (2008/2012/R2) and Client
  Operating System support experience (Windows vista/7/8.1/10)
• In-depth knowledge of SCCM and its related components: SQL, SSRS, IIS, WSUS, WMI
• Must have experience supporting SCCM hierarchy in a large environment
• Knowledge in PowerShell scripting and SCCM SDK
• Knowledge in SSRS report authoring
• Knowledge in PKI, specifically how it is used in SCCM
• Good understanding of large IT infrastructure environment i.e. Networking, firewall,
  WAN accelerator etc.
• Good understanding of GPO, OS hardening, OS patching and security
• Knowledge of OS imaging, Task Sequence and Windows 10 deployment/servicing
• Azure migration and maintenance
• Security strategies and tools
• Network captures and network troubleshooting, Group policy and troubleshooting​
