Woodfords Family Services has an opening for a full-time, salaried Preschool Program Coordinator in our Waterville Preschool.
Woodfords operates three preschools in Maine where children with autism and similar developmental disabilities learn skills to help them function successfully in home, school and community. The curriculum and methods used within our preschools are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Intensive instruction is provided to consumers, ages 2 to 5 years old, with a focus on cognitive skills, communication, play/leisure skills, pre-academics, self-help skills, social skills and behavior management strategies.

About the Role of the Preschool Program Coordinator:
- Responsible for day-to-day operation of the Waterville Preschool
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the students
- Collaborate with the licensed clinical staff, to develop, plan and implement appropriate educational and medically necessary services related to the child's condition
- Develop, plan and implement appropriate Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) curriculum and methods, with the assistance of the consulting Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Contribute to the development of, and oversee the implementation of each child's Individual Treatment Plan and Individual Education Plan goals and objectives
- Serve as Group Leader for the Preschool, as defined in the State of Maine Rules for the Licensing of Child Care Facilities
- Coordinate admission and intake of children to the preschool
- Provide supervision of Senior Lead Teachers, Lead Teachers (LT), Teacher Assistant Is (TA-1), Administrative Assistants and other assigned staff, directly and indirectly
- Ensure appropriate scheduling of staff and students
- Conduct training and coordinate trainings to be conducted by others in subjects needed for the improvement of services and performance
- Serve as the liaison with Child Development Services (CDS), school districts and other referral sources
- Ensure that all daily progress notes are tracked and billing material is completed as required
- Ensure a smooth clinical operation exists in all classrooms; work with Lead Teachers to ensure data collection is reliable, valid, and empirical
- Support the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) as necessary to ensure there are appropriate protocols for data collection and support with training staff on Positive Behavior Support plans.
- Assist in data collection and monitoring for Quality Assurance and Outcome Measurement activities
- Assist in the training of Lead Teachers and Teaching Assistants to ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory requirements
- Facilitate and meet with Parents, CDS, BCBA, Licensed Clinicians, Case Managers, etc. as needed to insure proper delivery of services
- Maintain open and clear communication with parents, staff and other professionals
Qualifications of the Preschool Program Coordinator:
- Master's Degree in early childhood education, special education, psychology or related field preferred, or working toward a Master's level of education
- 282 Certification recognized by the Maine Department of Education preferred, or eligible for certification
- Must have previous supervisory experience in a daycare, preschool or school setting
- Must possess good organization, communication and interpersonal skills
