Position Overview: This Press Operator is responsible for supporting the manufacturing team by performing assigned operation of production presses to ensure automotive parts are produced to specifications. In this role you will: Ability to review work instructions Check and provide all process components like lubricants and packaging, etc. Visually inspect production for burrs, scrapes, rust and other defects. Identify and locate proper material thickness and gauge. Check production against sample and/or print using basic measuring equipment like gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc. Achieve Production Schedules Comply with 5s Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Basic computer skills Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly operation preferred Good problem-solving skills/Strong verbal communication skills/Strong teamwork skills Good attention to detail Able to follow-through on assigned tasks Position Criteria: While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand The employee is moderately required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds. Noise level in plant is moderate. Hearing protection is required in posted areas.
