Job Description
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop proposals for customers including descriptions of offerings and associated pricing.
  • Partner with sales account managers to sell the value of our product and service offerings.
  • Serves as an advisor on deal structuring services, including advanced pricing best practices, margin calculations, channel recommendations, and complex services proposals and pricing that will result in more profitable opportunity wins.
  • Advises sales and operations teams on NI sales policy, business model, and channel strategy.
  • Manage quote approval workflow and escalations against NI escalations matrix and policies.
  • Triage all incoming Deal Desk support requests for assessment, action, and escalation as needed.
  • Collaborate with sales opportunity team with active participation in opportunity reviews.
  • Collaborate with senior sales management to understand proper business judgements to lead to self-sufficiency in deal desk processing including margin retention.
  • Collaborate with NI Finance teams to align on revenue recognition, payment terms, and other risk mitigation considerations.
  • Partner with contracts manager(s) to provide insight on deals pending a contracts negotiation.
  • Perform reporting functions on an ongoing basis to assess utilization of services, volume, SLA, and overall business results including margin control
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business Administration, Finance, or Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales or Pricing Operations
  • Experience supporting a sales organization including the use of CRM tools and processes
  • Experience drafting sales and services proposals for commercial and public customers.
  • Good English communication skills

  • Strong negotiation, drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, initiative, and ability to use independent judgment
  • Time management and the ability to manage multiple projects and clients
  • Excellent business judgment and ability to think strategically
  • Exceptional knowledge of Oracle and ERP systematic capabilities.
  • High proficiency of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint with advanced skills for analysis, costing, reporting, tables, and macros.
