We're looking for a Pricing Actuary to join the Pricing team at AIA. The pricing team ensures the profitability and sustainability of AIA’s products. There's an opportunity for team management if the successful person is interested in developing their people leadership experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide input into the ongoing management of product and pricing deliveries and collaborate to help design sustainable products that meet customers’ needs
• Provide financial and risk advice with respect to ongoing product management, discuss and advise on new policy wordings and product literature
• Determine premium rates on a profitable basis after consideration of shareholder profitability, customer value and market position
• Monitor the impact of price changes on new and existing business.
• Provide advice on campaign proposals including analysis of the costs, benefits and associated risks
• Monitor and measure the success of product launches and campaigns, etc
• Monitor the competiveness of products from a pricing, product and remuneration perspective
• Complete experience investigations for assumptions required for Pricing and Actuarial teams
• Analyse the results of the investigations and recommend actions the business may need to take
• Monitor and report on AIA experience against industry experience and trends in local and international markets with respect mortality, morbidity and other risks

About you:

• A qualified Actuary
• Sound influencing skills with effective communication and stakeholder management
• A strong sense of self development and self-motivation
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of products and pricing with experience in Prophet and SQL
• Strong analytical, Excel and other technical software skills e.g. R.
• Understanding of the theory and practice of life insurance and the broader financial services industry
• Product development and pricing experience
• Experience doing experience investigations, legislative and statutory requirements
