The Pricing Manager leads a team of 2 offshore analysts supporting the Lenovo
Channel & Distributor Sales team. This role is focused on the delivery of
commercial analysis, decision support and pricing approval for its dedicated
sales group. As part of the wider Pricing & Pursuit Optimisation team you will
work closely with the Head of Pricing and other Pricing Managers to ensure
that your sales group is aligned to the wider company strategy.
This role will have an initial focus on the enhancement of the team’s current
tools and processes and centralization of pricing tasks to the pricing team
with the aim to deliver the optimal price point and the correct positioning of
the Lenovo range within the market.
Key Role Responsibilities
• Lead and inspire the 2 offshore pricing analysts to deliver on their day to
day pricing operational tasks.
• Help develop and execute upon key parts of the ANZ Lenovo pricing
transformation strategy, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
• Influence and partner with key internal stakeholders across Sales, Finance
and Marketing both locally and overseas to improve pricing and drive
profitability across the business.
• Develop, operate and enhance analysis tools and models, leveraging varied
data inputs from both internal and external sources, including competitor
landscape, market intelligence register, and quote models that drives
innovation and challenges existing solutions.
• Undertake regular reviews of promotional and distributor pricing to ensure
optimum market positioning.
• Provide guidance to the leadership team on competitor pricing trends and
suggest corrective actions.
• Partner with the product portfolio managers (4P) to guide and align on
promotional and product changeover activities across the sales segments.
• Monitor and analyse distributor pricing to ensure optimum market
positioning.
#### Position Requirements:
• 3-5 years analytical experience within a pricing focused role.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to apply a commercial lens to
financial and pricing models.
• Excellent commercial acumen and experience approving quotes and proposals
before they go into the market.
• Experience designing and developing excel and PowerBI file for analysis.
• Ability to model complex financial deal scenarios.
• Comfortable working with and resolving ambiguity and adapting to changing
business needs.
• Excellent communication skills; communicate in a clear and simple manner to
ensure operational effectiveness.
