Job Description
Overall Position Summary:
The main objective is to enhance the quality of ESL teaching and to formulate the administrative rules and develop the academic competencies and effectiveness through professional and developmental approaches. The coordinator should be able to teach English class whenever needed. The goal is to ensure that students will become productive and well-adjusted youths for the further study and future life. Furthermore, the role will require assisting and orientating new teachers, improving communication amongst ESL teachers and assisting with professional development activities.

• Practical Knowledge of and experience in using a variety of assessments and differentiated learning techniques.
• Practical knowledge about teaching and learning through demonstrated lessons.

Main Responsibilities
1. Teaching Responsibilities
• English teaching duty according to the schedule.
• Based on the curriculum syllabus, implement a creative lesson plan that focuses on and promotes students’ English learning achievement.
• Value and respond to the diversity and individual differences of students.
• Ensure equitable access to opportunities and rigorous curriculum for all students.
• Collaborate and consult with parents and teachers.
• Perform assessments, interpret tests and study student records.
• Gather and analyze data to measure results.
• Complete regular reports on progress.
2. Administration Responsibilities
• Lead the ESL team, including facilitating weekly team meetings and coordinating
theESL program strategic planning process.
• Lead faculty training program, including developing training plan, present
training activities to faculty members and program adjustment and
improvement according to the actual needs.
• Classroom observation no less than 25 periods per semester.
• Establish and enforce policies and procedures within the primary school system.
• Coach new teachers in practical needs for teachers at RFLSat the beginning of the
semester.
• Send out a weekly bulletin on upcoming events for the week.
• Hand in a plan for ESL program at the beginning of the semester and an
evaluation of the ESL program at the end of the semester.
• Work with all parties towards positive resolutions regarding any issues
involving foreign teaching staff.
• Oversee the adoption and implementation of ESL curriculum, including support
for newcomers.
• Assists school administrators in implementing ESL plans and activities.
• Coordinate ESL testing arrangements for all annual assessments.
• Assist HR in foreign staff recruitment.
