Basic Info

1.Working Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 hours per day, from 7:40am to 12:00pm; 2:00pm to 5:30pm (Working and break time may vary according to subject, schedule and other school operational needs and therefore may be adjusted at the discretion of the school when required), to teach up to 22 lessons (or combination of lessons and contact hours to the same);
2.Student Level: Primary school students;

Job Description

1.Teach our school based programme covering 6 areas of student readiness; Socially Ready, Life Ready, Academically Ready, Digitally Ready, Work Ready, and Culturally Ready;
2.To lead and support in developing the World Ready Curriculum, implementation, integration into the course programme and providing robust connections through year levels;
3.Work with other subject teachers and develop a strong school based curriculum;
4.To design and deliver an inspiring curriculum for students with the aims of inculcating a passion for learning, mastery of the subject, and comprehensive preparation for further studies;
5.To devise and implement a range of innovative and stimulating learning activities that meet the intellectual and socio-emotional needs of all students;
6.To design and implement intervention strategies for students who require additional support;
7.To help support and develop the schools Co-Curricular programme related to sciences, practical programmes and other CCA’s that fall into the world ready category;
8.To actively engage in the pastoral development of students including house activities and tutoring, study hall, independent project-based learning, co-curricular activities, school clubs, teams, and competitions;
9.Work with other teachers and departments to develop a curriculum and programme for our World Ready Offering;
10.Knowledge and understanding, and ability to create, refine, or develop curriculum and assessments in the social sciences or language;
11.To perform other duties as assigned by the HOD, Academic Director or Head of Lower School;

Requirements

1.Bachelor's degree or above in English, Social Sciences, Humanities or related from an accredited institution;
2.TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification;
3.Clear criminal background check;
4.A minimum of 2 years previous full-time teaching experience;
5.Experience of teaching in subject related area;
6.Qualified teacher status or certified teaching license permitting the individual to teach in her/his country’s national education system preferred;

Salary and Benefits

1.Base salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications;
2.Housing allowance 3,000 RMB per month (can be combined with salary);
