To teach Art to primary classes
 Have a detailed knowledge and understanding of the subject of Art with experience in national or international curriculum
(such as CNC, IPC, IMYC, PYP/MYP/IBDP; IGCSE, British
NC or similar)
 Able to guide and support student subject-related questions and facilitate inquiry-based learning where appropriate.
 Knowledge and understanding of curriculum and assessment development in Art
 Be culturally sensitive and respectful of local traditions.
. Identify clear teaching objectives, content, lesson structures and sequences appropriate to the subject matter and the students being taught
. Set appropriate, differentiated and demanding expectations for students’ learning and motivation
. Set clear targets for students' learning, building on prior attainment and experiences
. Liaise with the Art teachers to determine the learning objectives of learning topics, themes and integrated interdisciplinary tasks
. Sets high expectations for students; inspiring, motivating and challenging students to achieve excellent progress and ambitious outcomes
. Demonstrates extensive knowledge and use of informal and formal assessment to refine practice and promote the highest outcomes
. Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that inspire and challenge students.
TEACHING AND ASSESSME
PASTORAL DUTIES AND EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
. Be a homeroom teacher to an assigned group of students.
. Promote the general progress and well-being of students and of the homeroom as a whole.
. Liaise with head of phase to ensure the implementation of the school's pastoral system.
. Communicate, as appropriate, with parents.
. Promote your department within the school and the local community.
. Support the life of the school beyond the classroom.
. Lead one or more agreed after school activities each week.
. Participate in residential weeks and other trips as appropriate.
. Contribute to whole school learning initiatives.
. Contribute to the wider school community by getting involved with charitable events and performances.
