RESPONSIBILITIES

- Delivering lessons that foster knowledge and generate excitement for Math, Science, Social Studies and English Language Arts. Note: this is not an ESL position.
- Preparing student worksheets and grading educational materials provided to students.
- Testing student levels with appropriate assessments and setting progress goals.
- Conferring with other teachers on the academic levels of students.
- Maintaining positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents
- Investing in the well-being, health, and safety of students, physically, socially, and emotionally
- Participating in activities and excursions with students.
- Coordinating with teachers and staff regarding use of classrooms and facilities.
- Ensuring students are kept in a safe and hazard-free environment at all times.
- Upholding order and discipline amongst students.

SALARY

- 23,000 - 27,000 Chinese Yuan per month ($40,000 - $47,000 per year)

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- 2 years of full-time teaching experience
- Note: this is not an ESL teaching position
- Teachers over 60 are not eligible due to China's work visa policies
- Ability to speak Chinese is NOT required
