This is a brand new K-12 full-boarding, co-educational bilingual (Chinese National Curriculum and IB) school opening in August 2020. They are looking for a well-qualified and suitably experienced Primary Reception or Year 1 Teacher. In the Kindergarten they will follow the principles of the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum with enrichment from the IB to prepare the students for the Primary and Middle Schools (Grades 1-9) where they will blend the Chinese National Curriculum (CNC) with the breadth and inquiry-based learning principles of the IB. Students in the Senior School will then have the choice between continuing with the IB and graduating with the IB Diploma, or switching to a programme based on IGCSE and A-level courses, enriched through the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and core elements of the IB. Combining the strengths of Western and Eastern educational practices in this way, the school will offer to Chinese and international families a unique, world-class bilingual education.

Candidates should have at least 2 years teaching experience and be qualified with a Bachelors Degree with Teaching Qualification, M. Ed, PGCE or PGDE or similar teaching qualification. They should have familiarity with EY/PYP/MYP/DP/A Level/British Curriculum, a passion for teaching and excellent subject knowledge. Candidates should show commitment to engage fully in boarding school life, commitment to support outstanding holistic education and commitment to innovation and self-reflection. Experience in boarding schools and international teaching would be an advantage.
