Position Title: English Language Instructor
Location: Beijing, Chaoyang District
Starting Date: Aug 2024
Student Age Range:5-12 years old; Kindergarten to Grade 6.
Class Size: Up to 22 students.

Requirements:
- Native English speakers with no nationality restrictions.
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in language, literature, or education.
- At least 3 years of teaching experience in primary schools or children's educational institutions.
- Experience with Student-Centered Learning (SCL), Project-Based Learning (PBL), IB, and/or STEAM curriculum design is preferred.
- Teaching license from an English-speaking country is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team to provide care for one class.
- Design and implement innovative curriculum in language acquisition with an emphasis on literacy.
- Design and implement collaborative PBL projects.
- Be a creative, strong communicator, culturally sensitive, and an advocate of pedagogical practices.
- Actively participate in research-based discussions on progressive pedagogical practices.
- Guide teaching assistants in preparing materials and aids.
- Occasionally deliver workshops for co-workers, parents, and the school network.
Contact Hours:18-20 class hours per week, with each teaching period being 40 minutes.
Working Days and Hours: School hours are 7:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday, with varying working hours according to teaching schedules. The typical schedule for a foreign teacher is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Curriculum:
- The school has a unique curriculum based on United States Common Core Standards, taught through PBL.
- Membership in the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) Community for collaboration with other IPC schools globally.
- Students take NWEA MAP Growth tests to assess literacy levels.
Teaching Management:
- Responsible for content design and development, organizing and implementing teaching activities.
- Actively participate in discussions on pedagogical practices.
- Provide workshops for co-workers, parents, and network members.
Class Management:
- Support students with academic and social-emotional learning.
- Communicate with parents about children’s learning and behavior.
- Provide occasional assistance during break times.
Benefits:
- Net Monthly Income: RMB 24,000-34,000
- Base Salary: RMB 20,000-26,000
- Housing Allowance: RMB 4,000-7,000 per month
- Medical Insurance
- Home visit Reimbursement: Up to twice per year, up to RMB 15,000 per school year.
- Public Holidays: 19 days off annually.
- Annual Paid Holiday: Summer and Winter holidays.
- Sick Leave: 5 days full pay per year.
- Pay Day: The 5th of each month.
