Principal Appl Support Analyst->> Maintains and supports complex applications and their operating environments. Provides technical and/or business guidance to the SCM team as well as other groups. Ensures projects are meeting plans and objectives. Analyzes system requirements. Reviews and evaluates plans for major projects and initiatives to ensure they meet system needs. Coordinates the monitoring of major changes to applications and their operating environment. Analyzes any issues of high complexity. Standardizes the use of tools, technologies, and/or business expertise in relationship to testing approaches. Monitors and analyzes the effectiveness of the use of technology in QA processes. Structures activities based upon approved project methodologies. Collects and analyzes project data and produces progress reports. Ensures the availability of applications for the client as well as problem management and resolution. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives. 

Responsibilities
 
Help with automation, monitoring and process improvements

Help our internal customers who send in questions or report problems
Diagnose and resolve production problems and recommend steps proactively to prevent the issues

Collaborate with L1, L2 and engineering teams to understand the applications

Qualifications

* Min 12 year of experience in Software Engineering and data eco systems (RDBMS, No-SQL, ETL, DW, Big data, data science platforms etc.)

* Min 3 years of Coding experience in Java, Shell Scripts and etc.

* Min 1 year of experience in Production Services organization with good understanding of monitoring tools for apps, databases etc.

* Min 1 year of Kafka experience * Min 1 year of CICD experience

* Domino Enterprise Data Science Platform administration experience is HUGH plus.

* Great customer service skills and a sense of urgency
* Great debugging, problem solving, and analytical skills
* Great organizational, prioritizing, and communication skills
* Willingness to join an on-call rotation during business hours

Experience with the following is a plus:

* Familiarity with the Linux command line and server administration
* Cloudera Hadoop Platform, Spark

* Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.)
* Docker, API Gateways, Kubernetes etc.

  Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree is beneficial 10-12 years of diverse experience in multiple areas of information technology required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
