Job Description
Directs risk management efforts for the assigned credit risk focus, such as Credit Analysis & Approval/Portfolio Management, CCAR, and customizes solutions for each region using knowledge of best practices and growing industry experience. Responsible for the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of documentation and reporting. Expertly uses credit systems such as the credit borrower rating system and credit approval system. Resolves complex system issues and frequently directs the development of credit system best practices. Recommends nuanced policy and procedure improvements. Contributes to the development of organization-wide projects and programs to improve risk management for the assigned risk discipline. Directs assessments of the effectiveness of current Credit Analysis & Approval/Portfolio Management, Operational Credit Risk, Country Risk or Credit Administration risk identification and mitigation projects and may recommend additional credit risk training within the business. Implements new, approved Credit Analysis & Reporting, Operational Credit Risk, Country Risk or Credit Administration risk management solutions that comply with regulatory requirements. Directs efforts to design remedial solutions and may assign remediation tasks. Contributes to reports on credit quality and asset value changes for the assigned credit discipline, regulations/requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Engineering/Finance or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 10-12 years of financial total work experience preferred Deep experience and knowledge related to regulatory capital stress testing (CCAR, RWA, etc.) Ability to manage end to end projects related to technology initiatives and enhancements (writing business cases and requirements, testing, implementing) Perform data analysis to produce ad hoc management reports and metrics (KPIs and KRIs) Required efficiency in SQL, Advanced Excel, database tables and queries, and reporting tools such as Tableau BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
