The Position:

Analog Devices’ Precision converter team is seeking an experienced Analog Designer / Systems Architect to lead the development of DAC IP for future generations of precision Digital to Analogue Converters (DACs) and precision ASSPs for various end markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new architectures, IP and product introduction.  This is a great opportunity to join a highly talented team that develops innovative products with novel converter technology.  Also, an opportunity to work with the industry experts on converter technology to grow your professional career in an industry leading company. This role is approved for hiring in multiple locations including Cork and Limerick (Ireland), as well as Edinburgh (Scotland) and Valencia (Spain).

 

Responsibility and Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Perform feasibility, conceptual and detailed design of mixed-signal Integrated Circuits (ICs) in advanced CMOS technologies for next generation DAC broad market products.
  • Develop creative solutions to demanding problems. Propose new architectures and methods to overcome customer problems and ensure market leadership position.
  • Evaluate customer needs and translate these into both chip level and block level specifications. Evaluate architecture to better solve customer problems.
  • Assist and lead Development team members with silicon validation/debug to ensure performance to schedule.
  • Help build and mentor precision converter team for future.

 

Required Skills:

  • Degree in EE or higher and 15+ years of relevant IC Design experience.
  • SoC/ ASIC experience in defining, implementing, and verifying analog and mixed signal designs with experience in converter architectures.
  • Demonstratable understanding of submicron technologies. Experience in advanced CMOS & DMOS process nodes is a plus.
  • Strong customer focus and highly motivated to succeed. Candidate must have collaborated across disciplines to ensure product meets customer requirements and timelines.
  • Fluency with industry standard design tools including Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, etc..
  • Test and debug experience are required. Experience with precision test equipment and techniques, strong lab skills and silicon evaluation are very desirable.
  • The senior design lead must
    • Work well with large teams across geographies
    • Have strong engineering communication and collaboration skills
    • Have good leadership and influencing skills
