Job Description

A unique position for a senior software performance / principal engineer combining leading-edge software engineering work on CPU and GPU with architectural influence.

  • In this role, you will be streamlining the work done with leading European software developing companies and institutions or opensource, ensuring they run best on Intel's latest and upcoming platforms, e.g., Laptops, NUCs, PC, Workstations.

  • You will be actively pushing and influencing emerging technologies related to CPU & GPU (compute) architecture and Intel-owned software products/stacks like oneAPI, GPU Drivers, Compilers.

  • You will need to utilize deep domain and market segment expertise to research, develop, and prototype software that leverages and drives the adoption of Intel product capabilities.

  • You will evangelize software tools and technologies to the ecosystem to enable and support Intel products and drive product improvements that minimize the need for explicit enabling and maximize scale adoption.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MS degree or equivalent in a scientific or engineering discipline

  • Expert knowledge of CPU performance optimizations including knowledge of latest C++ and assembly, Compiler(s), Performance libraries(s) like TBB and Performance Tool(s) like VTune

  • Advanced Experience of GPU compute optimization including knowledge of OpenCL, Vulkan, DXCompute, DPC++, GPU Software-driver stacks and Performance Tool(s)

  • Advanced Experience of latest Windows and a Linux/UNIX family operating system is required in close familiarity with OS architecture, kernel level and driver development experience are highly desired

  • Excellent verbal and written English skills, good communication and presentation skills in front of technical audiences

  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient working attitude

  • Technical Leadership and Mentoring

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with OpenCV, OpenVX or other Visual Analytics libraries is a strong plus

  • Experience with NVidia CUDA, Optix; Apple Metal, Metal RT and AMD HIP is a strong plus

  • Experience in DirectShow and Windows Media Foundation, FFmpeg, Gstreamer or another multimedia framework and media codecs DirectX, OpenGL or another 3D graphics environment is a strong plus

  • Experience in planning and execution of software projects, as well as in software testing, benchmarking, analysing, and optimizing is an additional is a strong plus.

  • Experience in modern scripting tools, such as Javascript, Python, Perl, etc is a plus

  • Experience in managing customer relationships is a plus

  • Any additional language suitable for customer engagements is a plus
