Job Description

As an integral part of Intel's IDM 2.0 strategy, the Corporate Planning Group (CPG) is established matrix reporting to CEO, to drive world-class operational execution and superb centralized planning to address our customers' needs. CPG will accelerate the success of IDM 2.0 and enable business priorities across internal manufacturing, external manufacturing, and support all our customers for growth and success. CPG maximize impact with cross-BU, TD, and Manufacturing alignment, display independence for our external wafer sourcing and IFS customers and bring us closer together as One Intel.

Principal Engineer for Test and Post-Si Engineering role is part of the Foundry Technology and Engineering team under CPG. This team works for 3rd Party Foundry, Assembly and Test supply chain on technology sourcing, enablement, and new product introductions. FTE manages Foundry and OSAT to deliver compelling, timely, Intel-aligned technology and enable Intel to leverage it most effectively for hybrid, leadership product design and manufacturing. FTE seeks a dynamic Principal Engineer for Test and Post-Si Engineering responsible for:

  • Driving and/or influencing product test strategy Make vs Buy decisions and optimize component production with consideration in schedule, technology readiness, resource, capacity, pricing
  • Defining and driving design, development, and validation of DFT structures and new test technologies for logic, memory, high-speed I/Os, analog circuits to maximize benefits from external processes for production test time reduction and yield improvement
  • Creating and testing validation and production test hardware solutions. Testing, validating, modifying, and redesigning circuits to guarantee component margin to specification.
  • Working with EDA vendors to define enhancements to test CAD tools.
  • Evaluation, development, and debug of complex test methods
  • Developing and debugging complex software programs to convert design validation vectors and drive complex test equipment.
  • Analyzing and evaluating component specification versus performance to ensure optimal match of component requirements with production equipment capability with specific emphasis on yield analysis and bin split capability.
  • Analyzing early customer returns with emphasis on driving test hole closure activities. Creating and applying concepts for optimizing component production relative to both quality and cost constraints.
  • Leading key product reliability innovation programs with internal and external teams and suppliers.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS with 12+ years or MS with 10+ years or Ph.D with 7+years of experience in design-for-test, manufacturing test.
  • Experience developing manufacturing test flows for advanced products on leading edge nodes is required.
  • Knowledge/experience in design-for-test methods, test program development, manufacturing test equipment (ATEs, handlers, system level test, burn-in equipment) are required.
  • Working with external wafer manufacturing houses and assembly and test houses is a major plus.

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
