职位描述

The Investigator of Research Competitive Intelligence and Strategy will work closely other stake holders and play a key role in defining the strategic direction for drug discovery and evaluating in-licensing opportunities at BeiGene. This position will propose drug targets in oncology and immunology/inflammation field by systematically analyzing the competitive landscape and biology mechanism.

The successful candidate for this position must have extensive research experience in discovery and translational research in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry with an emphasis on immune-based therapeutics.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of all the requirements and processes needed to advance drugs through discovery and into development, including: target selection/validation to lead ID & lead optimization; preclinical toxicology; pre-clinical candidate selection; IND/CTA filing; and ultimately toward registration.

The successful candidate should possess a broad knowledge of extant drug discovery targets being pursued across the industry and clear insight into the future direction of novel therapeutics and an ability to identify and critically evaluate in-licensing opportunities. The candidate should be energetic and inspirational, with communication skills that enable him/her to be persuasive to a broad and heterogeneous group of stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Proposes drug targets in oncology and immunology/inflammation field.
• Joins the effort to define the strategic direction for drug discovery at BeiGene
• Joins the effort to identify and critically evaluate in-licensing opportunities
• Provides scientific perspective to discovery efforts. A primary focus and experience in either oncology research or inflammation/immunology therapeutic areas is preferred.
• Demonstrate strong people management skills, leading by example with a high level of emotional intelligence, and be willing to work collaboratively with other functional groups.

• Ph.D. in biology field with at least 5 years of pharmaceutical and biotechnology experience
• Deep scientific knowledge and technical skills
• Actively maintains current awareness and high scientific profile in areas of expertise

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and act as a team player
