The Azure Storage team delivers Object Storage, NAS-in-the-cloud, Virtual Disks for IaaS, and more. These capabilities form both our public Azure Storage platform, as well as the data foundation of service offerings across Microsoft. You can be part of a strategic team with Microsoft-wide and industry-wide impact.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an energetic, customer-obsessed Principal Program Manager to develop and manage our Azure Storage partner ecosystem. This will involve:

  • Formulating the strategic vision and success metrics for the program
  • Developing the structure, tools and processes for running the program
  • Identifying and growing new partner opportunities
  • Ensuring the success of key partner engagements
  • Working across Microsoft teams to ensure cohesive engagement and GTM strategies

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong technical background and analytical skills, with the ability to work directly with both partner executives and engineering teams. You should also have strong strategic thinking, with the ability to identify new ways of looking at problems and identifying opportunities. Excellent collaboration, communication and coordination skills are a must for this role. You should be a creative problem solver, with the ability to lead virtual teams through ambiguity and, of course, have a clear passion for partners and customers.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of technical program or product management experience
  • Strong technical background and solid foundation in software engineering principles and architecture design. Alternatively, in depth knowledge of on-premises storage systems, architecture and deployment
  • Partner engagement management and business development experience
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to lead and motivate a high-energy team
  • Hands-on coding experience
  • Strong cross-team collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • BA/BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering or related disciplines

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
