Job Description

Join the Microsoft Connected Vehicle Platform team and deeply engage with our largest, most important automotive OEM customers to ensure their successful transformation into modern, software-driven organizations that happen to build cars.

This role will be customers’ main point of contact into Microsoft, from a technology and transformation perspective. Our account and business development colleagues will still be involved, but no one will have a more broad and deep all-up picture of the customer, their challenges, their progress against the objectives than the person in this role.

Regular (though not necessarily frequent) overseas travel will be involved.

This is an exciting role that works very closely with Microsoft’s business development and industry organizations, as well.

The team has a ton of momentum already – come help gear us up to the next level.

Responsibilities

Responsible for working with the most strategic transportation customers to assist them with digital transformation. Microsoft’s Connected Vehicle Platform enables scenarios that span telematics, in car, fleet, and autonomous driving. The success of the platform will depend greatly on this role’s ability to assist the customer’s framing of the problems that need to be solved, the ecosystem of partners and solutions used towards those problems, and the mindset of culture of the customer teams involved.

 

Responsibilities will be varied and include the ability to see around corners, be able to read organizational dynamics at a distance, and anticipate dysfunction before it becomes dysfunctional.

Qualifications

 

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in Project/Program/Product Manager roles
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

Experience in onboarding significant partners in the Microsoft ecosystem

Experience interacting with C-level executives to tie their objectives to the projects in flight

Ability to meet the overall business goals of the world’s largest auto manufacturers.

Experience in working through the culture change needed for digital transformation

Experience delivery large scale services that span services from multiple teams

Experience working with the top 400 enterprise customers at a deep and strategic level

Experience with creating detailed roadmaps to coordinate the efforts of the engineering, business development and industry teams towards solutions and products that prove themselves in the market place.

Ability to learn the value chain in an industry deeply to observe opportunities for innovation.

 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
