We're looking for engineers to join the Azure Sphere Lifecycle and Networking (LAN) team. We’d like someone to focus on developing and supporting the Azure Sphere Operating System’s various networking and connectivity options. As a team member you'll help us define and build the software to enable differing connectivity options, starting from functionality in the kernel, and ending with customer-facing APIs.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support new networking and connectivity options.
- Build solutions to enable customers to specify and configure networking options.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to grow junior members of the team. Build software prototypes and conduct experiments to evaluate alternative architectures.
- Take end-to-end responsibility for the development, quality, diagnosability, and testing of the software you build.
Qualifications
Required
- 5 or more years of software design and development experience.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering, OR an additional 4 years' work experience.
- Experience developing production software using C or C++.
- 5 or more years of experience designing and developing networking functionality.
Preferred
- Experience designing, developing and shipping network functionality in an operating system.
- Experience developing, designing or debugging networking protocols.
- Experience developing for one or more ARM based System on a Chip (SoC) platforms.
- Experience developing on Linux.
- Experience as an engineering manager is a plus.
