The Windows telemetry client team in COSINE is seeking a development lead who enjoys working with partner teams and facilitating a collaborate team culture. Our telemetry pipeline collects diagnostics data from a billion Windows devices worldwide. This data powers insights for product teams, drives quality, and is used to improve the customer experience for Windows, Azure Host, Xbox, HoloLens, and soon Linux. Pipeline reliability is critically important for the Windows engineering team. We work closely with internal partners and work hard to maintain the
trust of external customers
Responsibilities
- Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages all voices, mentor junior engineers
- Define the vision for the future of Windows telemetry, and work closely with data consumers and data science to deliver that vision
- Understand compliance needs and collaborate with privacy experts to maintain customer trust
- Define a client architecture within OS (Windows and Linux) constrains that minimizes power CPU consumption
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS or other technical/engineering field or 10+ years of software development experience
- 8+ years software development experience
- 2+ years management experience
- System level knowledge in Windows or Linux
- Proficient with C/C++
