Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execution of software verification responsibilities within a cross-functional Agile (SCRUM) team. This includes estimating development tasks, developing test strategies, procedures and tests, and performing ad hoc testing and reviewing design and code for flaws.
• Devises new approaches to complex problems through adaptations and modifications of standard technical principles.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Collaborating with internal cross functional teams, stakeholders, and third party contacts to design, develop, document and maintain software verification deliverables for various projects for embedded software.
• Reviewing and refining software requirements to ensure testability 
• Act as liaison for formal verification execution team in India
• Drive verification process optimization and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• A solid technical understanding of the principles and procedures of software engineering (e.g. SDLC, IEC 62304, Agile).
• Display a solid understanding of theories/practices utilized by other disciplines outside primary area of expertise.
• Ability to convince management on courses of action with minimal assistance using both written and verbal methods.
• Effectively operate in and may facilitate cross-functional teams.
• Must be able to provide solutions that reflect understanding business objectives and cost implications.
• Experience with embedded software test development.
• Passionate about software quality and be prepared to advocate on behalf of good process and best practices.
• Experience writing unit/integration tests using C++, preferably with GoogleTest
• Experience with test automation using scripting languages, like Python.
• Desired: Previous software development experience
• Desired: Experience with medical device software engineering disciplines (e.g. software development environments, configuration management tools, code inspection techniques and tools, testing methods and test management tools).
