About Technology Risk Management Technology Risk Management is responsible for independent risk oversight of BNY Mellon’s substantial technology footprint. In addition, the TRM function also covers Resiliency, Third Party and Data Risk Management, bringing together a cohesive and holistic approach to some of BNY Mellon’s most significant non-financial risks. Role Be the Technology Risk Management lead for the Issuer Services Line of Business Represent aspects of Technology Risk, Data Risk, Resiliency Risk and Third Party Risk to the Issuer Services Line of Business to support risk management decision making Work closely with the Business Chief Risk Officers and the Operational Risk Officer of the Issuer Services Line of Business to: Deliver Technology Risk Management processes (RCSA, HLA, risk reporting etc.) Challenge the Technology’s and Business’ assessment of technology risk impacting the Business, and technology risk management decisions Challenge the articulation of Businesses appetite for technology risk. Oversee technology incidents impacting the Issuer Services Line of Business and assess actions taken to identify root cause and control enhancement to reduce risk of reoccurrence Oversee technology risk related to key new products and projects and ensure adequate risk management decisions by the business Lead and contribute to vertical initiatives aimed at enhancing technology risk management within Lines of Business across the enterprise (e.g. harmonizing business controls of technology risk across the enterprise, front-to-back assessment of technology change management, etc.) Requirements Effective communicator – can build relationships, synthesize and adapt level of detail to audience and context, gets results from conversations Comfortable and effective in management of senior stakeholders Independent thinker – speaks up when has a different opinion, but able to find middle ground and decisively move forward Team player – works well in a team, dependable, helpful, able to work on own initiative Adaptable in a frequently changing environment Experience with interfacing with the Business Demonstrated practical understanding of technology and or Information Security (CISSP, CISM or equivalent) Practical understanding of risk management in global enterprises Proven track record at building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders in all 3 lines of defense Demonstrated ability to successfully accomplish goals and manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment Exhibits sense of urgency balanced with sound judgement and ability to inquire when direction is needed Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required\ Experience in Technology, Information Security and/or technology risk required 10-12 years of total work experience preferred Practical knowledge of security systems and controls preferred BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
