We are looking for an enthusiastic go-getting journalist with relevant design skills to head the launch of our new print and online weekly newspaper as well as daily online video broadcasts.

Verican Media is an ambitious US company, with a fast expanding portfolio of interests across the English-speaking world. This is your chance to get in at the ground level on the next stage of the company’s development.

You will be working closely with a Beijing-based design team and will also need to keep in close communication with our journalists in the U.S. We’re looking for a creative all-rounder with a good work ethic, great writing skills, sound organizational abilities, experience using Adobe programs, especially InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere. The individual must also be flexible so as to adapt their work schedule around rigid print deadlines. Native-level English is a must.

Roles that this post includes are:

- Copy editing and research for story touch-ups
- Advertisement design oversight and communication with clients
- Supervision of paper and magazine layouts
- Maintenance and updates of our websites
- Various administrative duties
