Siemens Digital Industries is looking to significantly expand the market share of our Automation Products and Solutions with a focus on Gas Analytical products in Western Canada. Applicants must be able to demonstrate proven sales success in the Process Industry with a focus on Chemical and Oil and Gas. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with our direct, indirect national and international sales experts to increase market share at our existing and prospective customer base. Position Overview: Sales Specialist within the Siemens Canada Business unit, Process Automation with a focus on Gas Analyzers and solutions. You will be responsible for identifying and developing customer opportunities and converting them into successful solutions at target customers across Western Canada. You will be responsible to increase share of wallet for selected relevant key customers (including relevant sales partners / integrators) based on the Siemens Gas Analyser portfolio of products, systems, solutions, and services. The Sales Specialist must be comfortable working in a matrix organization, coordinating with various other groups including, engineering, sales, and marketing while ensuring communication with the Siemens global Process Automation organization where applicable. The Sales Specialist will be measured against budget for the Gas Analyser product, service and solution portfolio with a focus in the Chemical and Oil and Gas market. The position will report to the Business Segment Lead in Canada. What will you do? You will be responsible for the profitable market share growth of Siemens Gas Chromatograph and Gas Analyzer portfolio for Western Canada. You must be comfortable and proficient working directly with Large Project Framework customers and Siemens channel partners, to expand market share of Siemens Gas Analyzer portfolio. Identify, qualify, and capture new business at target accounts Delivery of technical presentations to provide solutions for customer applications in Gas Analyzer market. Gather and understand market intelligence as input to develop your sales strategy for direct and indirect accounts Execute against your sales strategy to develop new customer business and maintain installed base to meet financial metrics. Responsible for opportunity progress reports and customer updates in the Siemens CRM system Develop good understanding of competitors and their sales activities to develop a counter Siemens win strategy Self-motivated to sell Gas Analytical product line to prospective clients to grow market share Build strong relationships within all levels of customer organizations. Positively influence channel partner sales teams to focus on Siemens portfolio and solutions on a daily basis. What will you need to succeed? Bachelor's degree or college technologist diploma in Chemical or Process Automation disciplines. Proven success of industrial sales of Gas Analytical products with a focus on Chemical, Oil and Gas markets Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial sales product management or marketing of process analytical equipment including Continuous Gas Analyzers (CGA) and Process Gas Chromatographs (GC) Experience working with End Users, OEMs, integrators and EPCs Understanding of the Siemens industrial products, solutions, and service portfolio. Excellent presentation skills with ability to present effectively in person or using remote media tools. Ability to positively influence direct and indirect sales channels to promote your product portfolio. Excellent language skills, fluent in speaking and writing in English Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record This position requires up to ~30% travel. About us.
