We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Development Technologist to be based in Wodonga or Bathurst. In this role you will support the development and deployment of pet food manufacturing processes whilst ensuring compliance to semi-finished and finished product specifications, Q&FS standards and manufacturing efficiency targets for our world-famous Mars Petcare brands. 

Working at our Mars Petcare sites where ideation, innovation and creation occur, you will also participate in problem solving and troubleshooting activities to resolve process related issues that impact product quality, cost and/or manufacturing efficiency at site.

What would be your key responsibilities?

•    Collaborate with Process Engineers, Product Teams and QFS to help develop and deploy new products to market.
•    Support site cost saving initiatives (Do it Best).
•    Utilize CI/Lean tools such as Six sigma and FMEA to ensure our processes are optimized. 
•    Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure successful handover of new processes to site.

What are we looking for?

•    Experience from a FMCG, Quality, Food Safety, Engineering or Product, Process environment. 
•    Knowledge of food processing or product development will be highly regarded.
•    Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal cross-functional teams.
•    Green Belt Certification preferred but is not essential. 
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent experience will be considered.
