Job Description

- Ensuring site compliance with engineering codes & practices, equipment safe operating windows, Corporate requirements (HSE, Manufacturing, Finance), sometimes need to lead small capital projects.

- Study and implement continuous improvements in the plant design in order to optimize yield/utilization of production, quality consistency and reduce the cost of the production process.

- Assist where needed in scale-up of new products, developed by the R&D group.

- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project team.

- Update P&IDs periodically in all ALBEMARLE manufacturing sites.

- Understanding process equipment, instruments, piping design principle and related documents, support process engineer to identify specification sheets and clarified with manufactures for each device.

- Support and lead process improvement activities, participate in manufacturing improvement projects to achieve business target.

- Cooperate with global technical team for best practice

- Self-motivated to propose to continuous improvement ideas, and take the initiative to participate in related activities and co-work with other teams in various roles (project member, leader, mentor ...), take proactive actions and use appropriate methods to identify opportunities for improvement. Undertake actions to improve the situation.

- Understanding process safety evaluation works, participate HAZOP, safety provision  allocation/redesign, hazardous Area Clarification raw data preparation, MOC meetings  if necessary.
