PROCESS ENGINEERING INTERN – CAMAS WASHINGTON FAB

Description of Job:

  • You will provide Process Engineering support for integrated circuit manufacturing in a semiconductor cleanroom
  • Fab areas of focus for this position are PVD, CVD, ion implantation, and oxidation / diffusion
  • Interns are assigned a mentor and will work closely with module engineers to sustain the fab and complete assigned projects
  • Projects may include qualifying new tools and processes, enhancing productivity and profitability, troubleshooting process issues, improving quality, and editing specifications or training documents
  • You will make technical presentations to engineers and managers, including a capstone highlighting major accomplishments
  • This is a six month internship for either Spring and Summer or Summer and Fall semesters
  • Work hours are primarily Mon – Fri 7:30 – 4:00 pm, but interns must be flexible to support business needs
     
    Requirements:
  • Must be registered as a full-time BS, MS, or PhD student with GPA > 3.5
  • Expected graduation must be within 12 months of the conclusion of the internship
  • Able to rapidly learn new skills and work independently
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Understanding of semiconductor fabrication and/or device physics is required
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and statistical process control (SPC) is preferred
     
    Preferred Majors: Electrical or Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry
     

For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export  licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.  As such, applicants for this position – except US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) – may have to go through an export licensing review process.
