Job Description
Overall Responsibility: The Process Excellence leader is an integral part of the Siemens Digital Industries Software (DISW) - Integrated Circuit (IC) Solutions operations team, and leads the implementation of strategic and tactical operations projects. The goal of the projects will be to achieve overall product lifecycle, manufacturing and supply chain process excellence. A major objective is to improve the performance of operational processes by implementing the next generation ERP system for the Siemens DISW company as hardware (HW) work stream lead. The scope of this role includes defining of hardware-oriented SAP Next Practices, data & reporting requirements, and the interfaces between other systems and SAP S/4HANA. The scope also includes facilitating HW finance business processes, data & reporting requirements and verification of financial postings throughout the transactional processes. The Process Excellence Leader will also work closely with the Siemens IC Solutions R&D, Operations, Quality and Hardware Support teams in a global environment to facilitate the implementation of key projects that affect these organizations throughout the product life cycle process. Detailed Responsibilities: · Facilitate and drive decisions regarding SAP Next Practices for the “Hardware” work stream, within and between other Siemens DISW work streams and divisions. · Identify high-level business process flow objectives, define and document corresponding business requirements based on SAP S/4HANA Next Practices. This includes mapping and analyzing processes to understand current/future state information flow, writing and/or reviewing user stories for developing IT work packages. · Ensure close collaboration between the business and the SAP IT development lifecycle. This includes monitoring and execution of agile sprints and co-ordination of single functional testing (SFT), end-to-end (E2E) and user acceptance testing (UAT). · Collaborate with finance resources to verify costs/pricing is posted correctly in SAP. This includes understanding and verifying complex value flows, inventory postings and intercompany invoicing. · Ensure timely delivery of decisions and documents in-support of the SAP release schedule, including end-user training documents, deployment readiness, go-live planning and support. · In addition to operational processes, assist with the Siemens IC Solutions product life cycle (PLC) process definition and implementation (in particular, for new product introduction into contract manufacturers and the Siemens IC Solutions supply chain). · Drive and ensure committed results (project goals, business process goals, timelines) · Determine objectives, prepare and follow plans to achieve the goals of the project(s) Technical Skills: · Expert in process improvement, project management and agile/scrum tools and methodologies. · Extensive experience managing projects, people and complex systems · Cross-functional and cross-company project management skills (planning, scheduling, executing and monitoring skills). · Experienced with coordinating project teams across multiple sites, organizations and disciplines. · Proven success defining and improving IT-enabled business processes, developing new products and services, and streamlining operations for multi-national corporations. · Has knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art ERP and data management tools used in the electronics industry. · Has knowledge and experience with product life cycle (PLC) processes used in the electronics industry including new product introduction (NPI). · Understands internal and external customer needs and integrates them in our strategies · Understand internal and external processes, bring IT system design, information flow and business processes together (process oriented thinking) Personal Skills: · Leadership skills, is a team player with enthusiasm and high energy, has strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of driving results · Multi-site experience with a production operating system · Track record of achieving results in challenging assignments and ambiguous problem statements.
