Eaton’s Aerospace Division has an opening for a Process Inspector on 1st Shift. This position is based in Euclid, OH. The compensation of this role is $24.43/hour. Position Overview: In this role you will perform visual and dimensional inspections and maintain accurate documentation on a variety of parts in accordance with ANSI Y14-5 standards. Assistance may be given other operators on proper operational procedures and perform housekeeping and other job related duties as assigned by foreman. In this function you will: Must apply basic math skills, read and interpret complex blueprints and geometric symbols to identify inspection requirements, and select proper measuring devices. Visually and dimensionally inspect parts for conformance and take appropriate action to call out discrepancies. Perform necessary part marking. Generate and maintain all required logs and records as prescribed by customer or MIL Specs including lab reporter, purchase orders, log books, records, etc. Set up and use a variety of standard gauges, dial indicators, mechanical and electronic gauges, indexing heads, surface plates, comparators and other special gauges and testing devices to determine conformance. Make decisions regarding appearance, fits, finish, etc. where definite specifications cannot be established. Observe performance tests. Where applicable, periodically check product at various states of assembly. Spot check parts issued from crib or stockroom. Use mathematical calculations to determine sizes and measuring to conformance. Maintain frequent and close attention to assigned work stations making visual, dimensional, procedural and operating observations. Will be required to witness completeness of assembly or manufacturing process. Verify paperwork. Accurately transcribe documentation details from individual device folders to master product documentation package. Chart and plot data per SPC requirement. Move material within the cell. Perform minor machine maintenance May be required to perform more than on operation at a time as directed by the foreman. May be required to burr work internal to the cycle. Perform pump pack and lockwire. All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. (Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation). Position Criteria: Become a Certified Operator within 40 days of becoming active on the code.
