Reports to Technical Manager

Location: Shanghai, China

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for design review of Greenfield/brownfield projects to make sure Process & Piping engineering activities comply with Vopak Standard & SHE/Operation requirement.
• Perform Greenfield project process definition, conceptual option, cost estimation, bid evaluation, etc. and monitor the Design Institute to finish basic design package.
• Support or inspect the local team with regard to project execution/commissioning, maintenance trouble shooting, accident analysis, etc for Process & Piping engineering activities.
• Support the global team with regard to project execution governance, design clarification, data collection, training conduction, etc.
• Provide technical support as per requirement of internal customers, e.g. OpEx team, procurement team, BD team.

Education and Experience

• Minimum 8 years Process & Piping engineering experience in chemical & petrochemical projects especially on tank terminal projects.
• Minimum 3 years exposure to international projects.
• Fluency in spoken and written Mandarin and English
• Good knowledge of equipment (such as tanks, pumps, loading arms and compressors) is a plus.
• Good knowledge of process and control
• Good understanding of international and local codes & practice (GP), standards, regulations, e.g. GB codes, API, ASME/ASTM, NFPA, IP etc..
• Computer skills with office software and graphic tools like AutoCAD for drawings
• Good skills on troubleshooting, coordination and governance
• Proactive work attitude and team work spirit.
• Open to business trip
• Good knowledge in hydraulic calculation
