Job Description

• Plan, organize, address and manage all the activities of process safety; 
• Develop and maintain process safety requirements and guidelines for site; 
• Lead process safety risk assessment for site; 
• Identification and evaluation of risks of process deviations;
• Development and check of safety concepts for sites;
• Coordinate the process engineering calculation on safety related questions
• Develop and implement value added services of process safety to include risk assessments, OSHA 18001 consultation, safety management system establishment, etc.
• Support construction activities with process safety expertise, such as safety related permit, license, approvals, authorities work process, etc.
• Ensure that site remains in compliance with all existing and developing process safety issues 
• Coordinate implementation of corporate policies and standards in the process safety at the site; provide process safety support and oversight for the integration of the site into Albemarle’s worldwide programs
• Participate in site process safety audits and review audit reports to ensure full compliance with all laws and regulations
• Coordinate with related resources to solve process safety issues. 
• Ability to build and sustain a maintenance culture that attains the highest standards of quality, efficiency and safety.

Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Safety Engineering, a plus with Master Degree; 

·        Minimum 8 years of experience working in production and/or maintenance with emphasis in process or process safety field, a plus with experience on managerial level; 

·        Experienced in process safety management, safety risk assessment, and ISO management system (OSHA18001 or equal system); 

·        Familiar with process hazard analysis tools such as HAZOP/LOPA/What IF and other safety risk assessment tools; 

·        Familiar with safety working and management tools such as JSA, MOC and PSSR; 

·        A plus with Certified Chinese Safety Engineer.
