Process Supporter - Fixed Term

Job Description
  • Prevent faults from being shipped forward
  • Ensures spare parts availability
  • Returns equipment to a running condition in shortest time using appropriate skill / knowledge
  • Completion of all relevant documentation             
  • Analyses and highlights availability issues
  • To ensure business requirements can be met and KPI status improvement
  • Ensures that all shifts work in a standard manner
  • Production interruptions due to failures of production equipment are minimised
  • Ensures that associates are kept informed and work to process.
  • Ensures that all equipment is maintained, critical processes are controlled
  • Ensures that status and progress relating to targets is known
  • Logs breakdowns & 30 min Reporting process
  • Fulfils service, rework, measurement / destruct requirements etc
  • Uses manuals / relevant information to diagnose and repair faults
  • Uses all appropriate tools / instruments to carry out the maintenance tasks
  • Analysis of all appropriate data to identify trends and remedial actions
  • Continually seeing improvement opportunities, driving change
  • Monitor of cycle times, Volume and Quality Performance
  • Ensures associate satisfaction improves
  • To ensure that a trained, motivated, properly clothed associate is on every job.
  • Quality assured production continues at all times
  • Local problems are quickly addressed. Level 0 – (1, 5, 20,) PQM. Customer protection
  • Assist management in achieving the Environmental (ISO 14000) targets and conform to all local legislation
  • Identify hazards and take action accordingly
  • Liaise with Health & Safety representative about issues of concern
  • Ensure adherence to PPE in team area
  • Ensure a clean environment by controlling housekeeping and hygiene
  • Identify and eliminate wasteful practices
  • Ensure adherence to the OHS Act of 1993
In this role you will be responsible to enable associates to achieve the agreed targets in the production line. Furthermore, support and coach associates to develop necessary skills to achieve targets including on-the-job mentoring or training.

Qualifications:

  • University degree (B eng or B-tech)  or National diploma (Technical)
  • Qualified artisan would be an advantage (Millwright, Electrical, Mechatronics, Fitter & Turner)

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year Technical /Trade experience
  • Minimum 1-year leadership experience would be an advantage   
  • Ability to be trained in technical topics 
  • Logical thought process in problem resolution
