Job profile Design and manufacture of sheet metal components progressive tools/stage tools/ riveting/bending tools/ jigs and fixtures/ exposure to grinding and welding technologies desirable. 3D /2D software knowledge on press tool designs. Having hands on experience in tool room manufacturing environment desirable. Be a part of vendor development for technology planning and capacity planning with suppliers. Tecno-commercial knowledge of machine hour costing/process costing. Should be able to plan life cycle management of the tools and apply lean principles in manufacturing to increase the efficiency. Exposure to fits & tolerances, acceptance gauges, surface finish desired. Visit to suppliers as & when required for follow ups, tool qualifications and to give technical inputs. Should have basic knowledge of ISO/EHS/ SAP transactions. How do I qualify for this job? Education: Diploma in Mechanical engineering /Tool & Die making with 6-8 Years’ experience. Should be competent to read engineering drawings, technical standards & comprehend functionalities. Knowledge of Autocad/3D design softwares. Knowledge about ISO 9001-2015 & EMS (ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001) / SAP /LEAN principles preferred. Location: Based out of Kalwa, Mumbai Switch gear factory. We’re Siemens.
